After the chaos of Christmas and endless travel we are resting nicely. I am trying to figure out what to do with my time since I no longer have school, and Joe is working hard in his new semester. I've decided to start sewing my maternity skirt and some other (many) sewing projects that need to be done before baby arrives.
The first bit of good news for the New Year was Joe's credits from Calhoun Community College transferred so he now qualifies for Student Work and can now apply for the internship at Anniston Army Depot which would be phenomenal. Also we had a doctor's appointment the first week of January to see how the baby is doing. All the organ measuring and checking of vitals and growth. Also, the kinda fun part is finding out what the baby's gender. We were excited to see the arm,
the profile,
and the best part was hearing the Ultrasound Tech commenting on the size of the baby's feet! She had been sitting quietly measuring and looking and then she said, "Wow, those are some big feet!" 
This had Joe all excited that he was going to have this 6'3" 145 lb son. The Tech was quick to correct with 6'3" girl!!! I know, everyone was shocked. I had felt for a while that it was a girl, but I wanted her to double check. I had recently had a friend who had been told it was a girl twice, once right before she delivered and then when she delivered found out that it was boy. The Tech told me that she was positive that it was a girl, and she wasn't sitting very ladylike so it was a clear shot! 
We're super excited about it!! I hope that everyone has a great New Year and remember that great feeling the Holidays bring us throughout the year. I'll keep everyone posted on how things are going. My next appointment is for the Glucose Tolerance test. I hope that goes well! Love you guys!!! Oh, I'll throw in a belly shot as well!! This is 21 weeks!

cute belly...I never got around to taking one of those pictures. It's good that you have.
That's just because everyone has been asking for a picture of what I look like! As you can tell it was right before bed when I remembered that I needed to take a picture!!
